I am addicted to mycokerewards.com points. I have been collecting them since the promotion started. I was even dumb enough to buy 100 caps off EBay. Points are worth around $0.10 each. As of June 7, I have 478 points.
So I am really annoyed that Coke has taken away some of the best things on the site. For 640 points you could get 24 coupons for free 12 packs of soda. They took that away. Also, they had a PSP for around 1500 points that is now gone.
Instead they now have some unobtainable prizes.
The contest started on February 28 and runs to the end of the year. That is approximately 300 days to enter codes. You can only enter 10 codes a day. Codes on 12 packs of soda are worth 10 points (bottle caps are worth 3). So, best case, you can enter 100 points a day. Times 300 days, and you get a maximum of 30000 points. Realistically, there is no way anyone is going to have more than 10000 points, and they will be people who fill soda machines for a living using 12 packs of Coke so the last thing they want is more stuff with the Coke logo on it.
Now look at the last two pages of the prize list. There are a bunch of prizes that are more than 30000 points. Why do they have them on the list? The sofa from American Idol is 56000 points. The hood from Kyle Petty's car is 40000 points.
It isn't like you can buy points either. This is just another stupid marketing exercise, and they suckered me in to it.
I'll keep collecting my points for the rest of the year, (I want this minifridge) but I won't be buying any more caps off EBay.
UPDATE: It looks like Coke listened & got rid of or reduced the number of points needed for all of the prizes over 30000 points. The new maximum is "only" 26000 points, which isn't very plausible to obtain but at least it is theoretically possible to get then many points. On the down side, all of the prizes that you really might want have mostly gone away. Although the air hockey table is pretty sweet.
i hope everyone knows that u can enter 30 codes a day 10 between like 12 am and 11:59 am and another 10 between 12 pm and 11:59 pm and u can enter another ten by sending points in on ur cell phones i hope i made somebodys day.

I believe that the reason coke changed the rewards program is because you can now use powerade points, and they have put points on minute maid and vault as well. They also let you keep your points when the year is up, so while the point values are pretty much ridiculous... they are attainable eventually.

Remember Pepsi Points? I got 2 movies, a CD and an Xbox controller while that competition was going on, and all I did was drink my ordinary amount of Mt. Dew and put up a coffee can in the break room at work so my coworkers could drop off points they don't use.

Now, I cannot even get the the website for cokerewards ! It's gone all together ! I collected all these points for what ? You'd think they would at least tell you what's happening by email. But as of yet I have nothing !

The site is still there and there new 75 and 100 dollar blockbuster gift cards are a good deal for 750 points and 1000 points. The way they made there new website you have to go to mycokerewards.com and only that one it is now all under that site no diffrent addresses. and it is possiably to get the high pointers like the vacations. a friend of mine who doesent even drink coke has got 1700$ worth of blockbuster gift cards! ( that equals 17,000 points and he still has 5,000 points left.)

I can never enter the "mycokerewards" site any more either. I have emailed the customer service three times, explaining my problem.
All I have ever received back from coke is automated mail telling me to sign up for SHOCKWAVE, FLASH, ETC. I do not even know what all these things are.
I am a diabetic and have been drinking diet coke for YEARS. I think PEPSI is looking better and better. I don't really care for PEPSI but I would rather switch than continue to support such a bunch of rip-offs

Do you guys know where would be the best place to get 12 pack codes. I mean, I try to use trash day to my advantage. I glance through recycle bins to look for them, but there has to be an easier way. Any suggestions? Perhaps gas stations?

I have tried several times to enter the coke rewards site recently and have not been able to - I keep getting the sign up or log in first screen. I log in but it is like I didn't do it at all - I tried five times in a row!! What's up?

Um didn't anyone download the widget? It's a lot easier to have on your computer and you don't have to go to the site. it's constantly on your computer and you can type it straight from there..if you wanna do it the hard way and go to the site, good luck to you and wasting your time.

Guys, please.You are seriously OVEREACTING.
Here is my advice:
When you see something by Coke, either in your fridge or the recycling, get the caps, and enter them online, and then forget.Keep doing the process like it isnt a big deal at all untill you notice that you have tons of points.Dont get all "God damnit its gonna take 4 EVARR this is a f****ng scam" No.Just think all you are doing is entering cap codes for no reason then one day you realize you got a bunch of points from that and now you can get a free blockbuster movie rental.Dont think of it as "Sweet ill get this nice Blueray player in no time" .No.Bull shit.This isnt a "Get a free laptop!!!!!!!" game. Its a "Get a free shirt with bottle caps" game.And there are good prizes and you may save up for them, but whatever you do, dont make a big deal out of it.
So take my advice please.

as i stated before, I had been entering codes without any issues. I was using points weekly to get the blockbuster family pack certificat and let the rest accumulate. I am sitting on hundreds of caps and 12 pack coupons and I can not get on to the website to enter my codes or redeem points unless I download macromedia. I am not allowed to do this at my place of work.

i've been collecting in schooland i had my eyes on the free bottle of powerade, minute maid, coke, dasani, and nestea. i redeemed 24 pts for 1 of each then wanted to get another of each but the site said "this prizeis limited to one a person". thats bull, so i called them up and said that on the bottle it says "EVERY 8 CAPS GET A FREE COKE" but nowhere on the bottle does it say limited, so he said "theres a shortage". so i said "oh, theres a shortage of coke at the coke company, i have to know bec im a stockholder of coke so itts good to know that theres a shortage". so he said "no its only a shortage of coke for redemtion", whatever that means. anyways a couple of days later they pulled all the free bottles besides coke and they unlimited coke. but i really wanted powerade. so i too feel that ive been scamed, but i still continue to collect, i made it like its routine to pick up caps and write the codes down,

WOW! I see there are a lot of angry people! SO AM I! I didn't really think I would ever get enough points for anything "big" but coke took most of the small stuff off. I drink 1 or 2 diet cokes a day, so if I get a few magazines I'll be lucky. Like I will ever save up 12000 points for a 19" TV? I bought one at Sams Club for 200, And I didn't wear out my keyboard ytping in codes! Screw cokes bogus rewards. Also, shouldn't the cap off a 2 liter be worth more than a 12 oz bottle?! What the F**K is that about? The whole program stinks!

Ya'll are griping plenty. It's cool to be able to get stuff, research the rewards, and just chill sipping one. I hope all the hard-working folks get what's best for them with no waste. I hope you who are saying you're collecting for charity or orphans get the reward/s you deserve: if you are truly doing that, God will bless you for taking the time unselfishly; if, on the other hand, it's a mind-game scam, God will remember your deed till you feel bad @ it, and ask for forgiveness and purpose in your heart to change. Just think of the poor soul who has MS, or Alzheimer's, dementia, or had that black brick wall, THE WORDS "You have cancer...." hit them in the head. Regarding the red pop-up window with error message: "undefined error". I think the site is down or something. Entering codes for this was marginal at best but now I can't even get into the site. I think I am going to abandon the effort and enjoy my summer another way!

I have recently (last two or three days) started to get the undefined error on my home computer but not from work. I'm assuming that its a software upgrade (presumably my recent Java upgrade) that might be the problem. Anyone have any thoughts?

Ya know People Get real, life is just too friggin short to stress or be angry about a giveaway, Yeah I collect them, have sent off and received my rewards, movie passes a few times. So the way I look at it is, I am more ahead now by getting the passes that would have cost roughly 40$, Just how much coke can one drink in a day to get those mega prizes anyway ? I have no time in my day to let something so friggin obscure to take up space in my head, besides coke is not paying me rent to take up space in there anyway, no free rides!!! Much more important things to get done before my time is up here on earth, cause there is probably no coke in heaven or hell for that matter or wherever it is that I end up ? Enjoy life, don't sweat the little shit, petty little thing consume way too much effort out of you life and that just is foolish to limit you mind to absolute B.S. !!!!
